Giving Thanks

There is much for which to be thankful.

Gratefulness is an area I have made a special effort to improve.

It is a choice, you know!

How am I doing?

Some days, not so swell!

But I keep making the effort.

This is the 3rd Thanksgiving Day without Les.

The first one is a blur, as it was only a few days after his departure to his heavenly home.

These past two years have had their moments;

good ones, bad ones.

But through them all, God has been faithful, just as He promised.

I am thankful for my family and friends who have aided this journey.

I am thankful for the peace that God has given me.

I am thankful for my health.

I am thankful my carpal tunnel and ulna nerve surgeries were a success.

(sleeping with no braces and no tingling hands is such a relief!)

I am thankful for all the extra time I have been enjoying with my daddy.

He takes such good care of me!!

I am thankful for being able to lead Bible study classes.

I am thankful for the women (and some men!) who come to those classes.

I am thankful my sister has retired and we can do more things together.

I am thankful Stacey and Mike live close by.

Les and I lived away some and it is hard.

I am thankful for the precious grandchildren they have given me.

I am thankful to be able to see them grow and learn.

I am thankful for my “old” friends and my “new” friends.

(You know who you are!)

I am thankful for my relationship with Jesus which assures me I don’t have to do any of this alone.

I am thankful God loves me unconditionally.

Otherwise, I’d be toast!!!!

This could go on and on, but I won’t bore you.

Just one more thing! LOL!

I am thankful for you;

for reading my blog;

for your kind comments, emails, and words of encouragement;

for letting me share my heart as it heals.

Let’s make every day a day of thanksgiving.

There is ALWAYS something for which to be thankful.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Lots of love, Sharon

  3. I am thankful for you, Sharon. I always enjoy reading your posts. I feel it keeps me up-to-date on you and how things are going for you. I trust you had a blessed Thanksgiving. I can hardly believe Les has been with Jesus for three years now. Boy, time really flies by.

    I am very proud of you Sharon. I know, very well, it has been a tough journey. But, you have kept the faith and kept Jesus as the light to lead you on the way. He has a great plan for your life. Just hang on and enjoy the ride!

    Tell all your folks I said hello. If you come this way, give me a holler. I’d love to see you.

    Love,

    Maudith
