This post will be different, as it is simply tidbits of truth God has either shown me or reminded me
of this week through His Word or through someone sharing His Word.
Hope you enjoy it!
Contentment is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.
Worry is not believing God will get it right.
Bitterness/anger is believing God got it wrong.
We grow more like Christ through obedience to His Word.
Busyness produces barrenness.
It is the enemy’s way to keep us from God and from others.
Do not just accept what God has allowed for this season of your life.
Rather, embrace it – embrace it for what God is doing in it and through it.
Life is not fair! But God is good!!!!
Jesus put on a towel and washed His disciples’ feet the same night
He was going to be betrayed, arrested, beaten,
mocked, and spit on.
In the midst of such an enormous weight of what was to come,
He was thinking of them and not of Himself.
He said what He did as to be an example for us.
God in the flesh took on the role of a servant as He faced the most difficult time of His life.
If I am going to truly follow Him, I must be like Him,
putting others above myself.
Behavior matters to God, but it is not the basis for His acceptance.
Salvation is heart knowledge, not head knowledge!
“Therefore, putting aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisy and envy and all slander,
like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the Word, that by it you may grow
in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.”
(I Peter 2:1-3)
Lots of love, Sharon
